Description
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Manage the coordination of all aspects of interior design project efforts, including administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
- Oversee project and coordinate schedules and workload
- Lead programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, and construction administration on projects
- Oversee multiple projects at a time
- Guide the selection of furniture systems and specifications
- Provide project team coordination for finish plan, specifications, and material selections required for construction
- Review drawing sets as part of QA/QC process prior to permitting
- Work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
- Serve as client liaison with primary responsibility for budgeting, scheduling, ensuring the responsiveness of design solutions, and growing the client relationships
- Actively manages budgets, schedules, programs, and team assignments as well as project communications, documentation, and associated administrative tasks
- Prepare strategic plans, estimate fees, determine scope of work, prepare proposals, and assist with contracts
- Responsible for project’s financial success
- Conduct, or assist with, in-house training
- Participate in weekly studio planning meetings
- Participate in marketing and business development efforts of the firm, especially related to Interior Design
- Oversee/mentor a staff of Interns and Interior Designers
- Perform other duties as needed
What we look for
- Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture from an accredited college or university is mandatory
- NCIDQ preferred
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ applicable experience
- Experience in all aspects of the Design/Contract Documentation/Contract Administration process
- Experience in managing Client and Consultant relationships
- Strong graphic and visualization skills
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Portfolio submission required
